The message for November 22nd through December 22nd
At the core of the situation this month we see the message “stay strong” and “have faith”. The picture on the card from the messenger Oracle deck depicts a dragon standing upon a rocky prominence, as if it’s protecting or defending its home territory. The message seems clear that must not get too far ahead of ourselves and we must remain strong and grounded in her home base. They must be centered in her own body and minds. The next card is usually a card that either crosses or supports the situation card. The card in this case, I feel, both supports and can weaken what we feel is our home base in this situation. What crosses the card is the message of “Let to become one” much like the lover card in the traditional Rider-Waite deck. What allows “two to become one” does require a choice, we have to chose to unite. And it does require either building or rebuilding trust. We may not have all the things we need or have formed a relationship to the support we need act the present moment. My traditional tarot deck, however, depicts what crosses us as more of a wish that things could go on as they had from our good memories of the past. The combination of the two spreads seems to indicate that you may have lost a little bit of faith, perhaps some trust, but looking to the past may help us solve the riddle of what our true and authentic needs are in the situation.
Our next card in the messenger Oracle spread, is part of the three card draw which tells us where our conscious mind, our unconscious mind, and the union of both, will lead us in the situation. Our conscious mind is showing us the message “follow the moon”, with depiction of an ethereal moon goddess, her skirt waves, standing before luminous full moon. The next card our unconscious mind asks us to “protect the wild and the green”. Again this is a very feminine card, with a female warrior in green dragon scale armor, holding a sword. The next card, which is in the card position of the union of conscious and unconscious mind and the lessons thereof , is the message “heed the messengers”. These three cards together give me the distinct sense that there is a pattern and a cycle that is being perpetuated around us, which our conscious mind should be able to follow, but our unconscious mind asks us to be vigilant in watching and strategical in planning for this pattern, so that we will know when to act and when right action is needed. In the traditional tarot spread, the cards of our past and present tell us while we’ve had worries and things hanging over our heads, this time to let go of some of that so that we are free in the present moment to embrace the decisions and opportunities that are going to be presented to us shortly. We should be coming to terms with what choices we do have presently. What comes next may not be fully fair or warranted, could even be a truth that we were avoiding dealing with until now, but dealing with it now will lead to more opportunities and potentials being open to us in the future. I believe both spreads speak ultimately, the same message. Presently we must seek what understanding we can glean from the past and from the patterns around us, but that information should only be leading us back into our own power, so that we can have the energy and balance to deal with the present moment.
We have another three cards that in the Messenger Oracle spread which are picked together and relate how this next lesson will manifest or be chosen in our lives. Sometimes the cards depict what happens chronologically sometimes these three cards cards talk around one central topic with different ways to look at it. Our first card is “know your power”. Our second card is “hear the ancient ones”. The third card is “make the sacrifice”. What is standing out to me about these three cards is the message, “heed the ancient ones”. I get the impression that the cards are not only speaking of ancient ancestors, but we are also speaking of family patterns and the choices around those patterns and how they came to be. It is a call to understand why things are the way they are. And I find that also supports and lends the card “know your power” a particular energy coming from knowing your place, of knowing how you can influence things, and perhaps break family patterns or at least know them for what they are. In this case, I see all three cards supporting one central issue that of coming to an understanding of why your family is the way it is, why certain things are chosen over other potentials, but the “make the sacrifice” card leads me to believe that you might have the ability to step away from some of these patterns. The word sacrifice has been coming into my readings a lot lately and this sacrifice may be temporary, a break with life as you know it so that you can see other patterns that are going on around you and other resources that you could tap. What may seem like a sacrifice may be a wake-up call and once that wake-up call is realized, life may begin to return for more normal level. For what is upcoming, the traditional tarot spread does not speak so much of family, as it does personal power and being a ruler over your own life. Our personal growth and development cannot remain stunted. Even if it seems like we have everything we could ever want, you must not neglect your soul’s needs. Even if that means uncovering uncomfortable truths or delving into mystery. We may be called to use our power in a more assertive way than we typically do, yet we’re also being called to be the ideal leader, not simply the bossy type, in this situation.
Our next three card set in the Messenger Oracle spread are the roots of the situation. The first lesson we need to consider to support this coming month is the message of “share your thoughts”, the second lesson is “love that you are different”, third root card is the message honor Gaia. In these three cards we see a person who can lean on their web of friendships and family and not lose their identity. The trees in a forest are all bound together in a web of support and nourishment with our friends and family. While we stand alone in our own place, together, we are a forest and we are stronger, and protect each other. When we contribute with our thoughts and feelings, our own emotional energy, into the forest of our tribe will receive the nourishment that will make the difference in this next coming month. The traditional tarot spread, indicate an interesting counterpoint to the messenger Oracle spread. The tarot cards seem to indicate that we might not have lived up to all the expectations people, friends, or family have had of us, and now is the time to step up to that and take our place in the web of relationships around us.
What still needs to happen is the next card in the messenger Oracle spread and the message of that position is “a new day dawns”. We are being called to let go of what we thought we knew, what we thought we knew about ourselves and our lives, and possibly even where we came from. We must begin anew and with strength. This is the first card in the deck and it is one of strength. It depicts a full-grown golden dragon sitting upon a mountain plateau overlooking the dawn with a gentle knowing in his eye. While there is no exact equivalent to this position in the tarot tree of life spread, the tarot cards to seem to support the message that situation over the next month will be a good breaking point from what we considered normal, so that we can begin steps toward a new direction.
The last card of the Messenger Oracle spread his outcome card, it’s message is “seek your answers within”. The imagery in this card ,I think, speaks volumes about the spread in particular for this coming month. The image depicts a large bear, his heart is illuminated and has an eye in the center. His giant paws for under the heart, as if to embrace the inner knowledge, wisdom, and compassion of his sacred heart. While we currently may not like or agree with everything that our family has chosen for us, or what choices your family and tribe have, presently or in our past, we must look within our sacred hearts to understand the wisdom behind what has transpired and where we can go with it from here. Our tarot spread seems bit murkier in meaning. The outcome card is the reverse Queen of wands. I believe this stands as a warning to try and temper our anger and frustrations during this month. I did draw three additional cards for more information, those cards were the two of wands, Queen of Coins, and the High Priestess. These last three cards I feel speak very similar message to the bear, the outcome card, of the Messenger Oracle spread. The key to the situation will come from our compassion and wisdom, from being grounded in practical, rather than brute force or allowing passions to rule.
Long standing planetary influences for this month:
Uranus in Aries:The urge to start fresh, to break free from restrictive attitudes or circumstances, to totally redesign an area of our lives (or even our personalities), and to gain freedom through independence is strong with Uranus in Aries.
Jupiter in Cancer: Cancer is a water sign. With a Water sign Jupiter, we have a strong belief in a higher power. We are most able to attract luck and rich life experiences through our intuition, imagination, and compassion. Helping those in need boosts our own morale. More specifically with Jupiter in Cancer, we attract the most good fortune when we are sympathetic, charitable, use our powers to save and accumulate, and comfort others. Real estate, child care, mother care, and the food industry can be prosperous avenues. Go with your gut, even it seems a little out there or too much and keep an eye on the big picture. Balance identity issues with learning and expansion.
Saturn in Scorpio: Significant decisions are often made during Saturn’s hard transits to our personal planets. These transits slow life down (or at least, that is how we perceive it) and force us to live our lives in the present. Although Saturn transits can make life feel like a drudgery (these are often times when our lives seem to move at a snail’s pace and advancements are hard to see), they also give us the opportunity to gain inner strength, to become more responsible for what we do and say, and to cut out waste or excesses in our lives. Basically, what happens is a form of paring or slimming down in the area of life affected by Saturn. We are getting rid of things in our lives that are not working for us in the real world, and focusing on improving and strengthening the things that do serve a useful purpose. Take the slow times to fill up, and build up your inner reserves. Be careful of depression, if we were riding high during a high-speed Uranus transit just before Saturn “hit”, this period can mark a significant time in our lives when we “pay” for the risks we may have taken during that Uranus phase. While it may feel like life has just stopped, it really hasn’t, it’s taken on a new form and we need to slow down and adjust to a tighter way of being, where we get ready for new growth.
Neptune in Pisces: Neptune’s entry into its watery home sign signals a spiritual awakening that crosses the threshold of our individual differences to reconnect humanity in a web of common awareness. Compassion shifts from an idealistic concept to an active energy that puts us in touch with one another in a more emotional way. The last time Neptune was in Pisces — from 1847 through 1862 — concern for others was reflected in the abolitionist movement to end slavery in the United States and to free the serfs in Russia. It’s likely that this transit of Neptune will again put issues of injustice and inequality into the spotlight.
Pluto in Capricorn: The planet of transformation ends its 13-year stay in religious Sagittarius, a period when fundamentalist beliefs have radically changed the world. The next phase, Pluto’s entry into organizational Capricorn, will alter the nature of corporations, nations and international groups of all kinds. The planet Pluto and sign Capricorn share a strong sense of intention and focus that are likely to increase efficiency in many domains. Ideally, Pluto brings us to the essence of issues and, in Capricorn, will lead to a transformation of the social order, one in which the extreme inequities of power and resources are overcome by a burgeoning awareness of our shared humanity.
The Message: Don’t let this week get you down. We are almost to the point where things will begin clicking into place. So don’t get too impatient that things might be going slower or more mundane life might seem more hectic. It is almost as if we are all waiting on baited breath for something to be revealed to us. Trust your vision and the plan you have been developing and work it the best you can for the environment you are currently in, and know that others are feeling just as anxious and irritable as you! The 25th will bring a long await realization that can begin to set everything into place, so just bear with this week, and remember to temper your reactions to upsets, harsh words, or shady actions.
November 18th and 19th: Keeps things simple these days. Deal with what you have to deal with, but keep it practical and factual. Make sure you have your facts straight, in fact, don’t jump to conclusions! And take what you can get and let the rest go!
November 20th: Venus is Capricorn has us keeping ourselves busy realizing what it’s going to take in order to reach our goals and dreams! But this is the last day we have the Sun Scorpio, so some the intensity we have had about our explorations into potentials may begin a wane a little, which is okay. We are due for a more “can do” take on our progress and goals about now anyway!!
November 21st: The sun moves into Sagittarius, and the moon trines Jupiter and Saturn. The Earth trine reminds of all we have to be grateful for in life, our stability, our support networks, and Sagittarius energy makes us hopeful and optimistic. This energy may be intensified by it’s the suns opposition to Neptune, so while we are day dreaming and envisioning our goals and dreams, don’t let yourself wander too far afield!
November 22nd-24th: Keep your eye on the prize! Life may get a little crazy, detailed, and/or seemingly complicated until all those piece of the puzzle fall into place a little better!
November 25 th– 30th
The cards indicate this is not a week to take on a new projects or ambitions. This week you may be confronted with the decision or a truth that might leave you feeling unclear about what to do next. Most of this will not be something under your personal control so, it is suggested that you surrender to the flow of events. If you have clarity about anything in the situation, try to focus on knowing what your past fears, present fears, and future fears or fears of the unknown are. Having clarity about what is real happening in the present moment can allow you to have the clarity you need to begin rebuilding relationships and taking support from trusted people and unions. Don’t take on too much otherwise, work as you need to, remember to put yourself and your self-care first.
November 25th: Step one in our Saturn inspired clean-up process was the 8th of October and step three will be November 25th. Today we get that last piece that will seemingly put a lot of our relationship, power, and money issues into perspective. But this is not a day for pushing either. Today is the type of day, with Thanksgiving comping up and some vacation time ahead, that you want to just go with the flow and spread the good will around!
November 27th: Mercury in Scorpio sextile Venus in Cancer:
While we may still be reeling from November 25 and/or our new perspective, today is a day for handling details until 5 PM.
November 28th: Mercury in Scorpio trine Jupiter, Venus in Capricorn in opposition to Jupiter in cancer, moon in opposition to Uranus and Aries, moon squares Pluto.
Happy Thanksgiving! While today might seem eager and grander than usual, as fitting for such a special holiday, everything can seem exaggerated today. Stay focused on the positive and don’t exaggerate the negative.
November 29th: Moon in Libra T-square’s with Venus and Jupiter in opposition:
Today is not the day leave the house without game plan. You might still be a little bit of a high such a wonderful Thanksgiving, but the energies will be a bit scattered today so don’t forget to plan ahead.
November 30th: Sun. in Sagittarius trine Uranus in Aries:
Today is an important day. You must gather your mind together and deal with all the little details. Stay flexible with trying to make your choice work. There is no need to procrastinate, whatever information you thought you were missing has been provided and now it is time to make the choice. This is a new starting point.
December 1st – 7th
For this week the Oracle messenger deck seems to contrast the tarot spread. The Oracle messenger deck was designed to be more hopeful, then to have the detailed message of the tarot based on the Rider-Waite deck. The Oracle messenger deck says to have courage while embracing the dark side (pain and anger) and to know where you belong. The intense feelings from last week’s revelation might still be lingering, but I feel the messenger Oracle deck is certainly telling us not hide that pain away or to let it fester in shadow. We must have courage and we must look to our place within the web of her friends and family for support. The tarot deck speaks of coming from a place of hard-won battle and being caught in a web, neither card looking very positive. And while that perception of the situation had led us to feel limited in our growth and our choices, the present is looking a little more hopeful with the Empress in the present position for this week. The tarot cards do seem to indicate that we can not neglect our self-care, the basic things of feeding ourselves, sleeping enough, and perhaps even taking a mental staycation, for the situation is not quite done with us and we will need to rally our strength. We may feel that our lives have been wild and all over the place, but that is not how others perceive us at this time. For what we are facing, we are being perceived as someone who is emotionally coming into their own. You may also feel that you might not come through the situation to meet your goals or your needs, but in the outcome card there’s a sense that we are not seeing all the opportunities in front of us, or all the support that we actually have, which we have not yet tapped. In either spread there seems to be no avoiding having to go through this process, I feel it calls us to do what we must and make the changes we need, so that we can make a clean fresh start.
December 1st: Sun in Sagittarius Sq., Chiron in Pisces:
You have the goal, now it’s time to work the plan to get there. When the moon joins Mercury in Scorpio, in a few days time, will have the final answer. Work what you can, while you can, as soon we won’t have practical and push you Virgo forcing us to deal with the details.
December 2nd: new moon in Sagittarius:
Today’s day of the new moon, time to release the emotions and obstacles that have been holding us back. Sagittarius will have us eager to move forward and embrace new changes that must be made. It is okay to revel in some of the dreaming qualities which Sagittarius should bring about regarding past family times and traditions, as the sharp intensity of Mercury in Scorpio will begin to melt away.
December 3rd: Mercury in Scorpio sextile Mars in Virgo:
Today everything that you have in the works over the last few months finally seems to be beginning to come together. It’s time to start shifting gears into a more social mood.
December 4th: Mercury enters Sagittarius:
Today we shift from complex and detailed Scorpio to a more laid-back and joyful Sagittarius. Today and over the next few days you might notice the shift from worry and concern to bliss and euphoria. But keep your head on your shoulders and don’t spend too much, financially, emotionally, or in your revelry. The moon newly moved into Capricorn will help us give a little bit of grounding force.
December 6th: Mercury in Sagittarius Sq. Neptune in Pisces:
While you might be gearing up to become part of the social elite of the season, even Mercury square in Neptune brings imagination needed to put together a perfect party and outfit, remember to dig a little deeper to find the meaning of the season for you.
December 7th: Mars enters Libra:
Depending on who you are with, today will either be ruled by exceptional charm or didactic debate. Do take advantage of the energies allowing you to strategize your schedule and your party planning. Just remember to stay true to the plan once you’ve made, even if it’s not exactly fair or perfect. Flexibility may help, but don’t get your feathers ruffled if someone can’t simply go along with your plans.
December 8 – 14th
While this week we might be feeling may have you feeling more courageous and stronger in your situation, and you may have overcome some of the fear involved, there’s a note of caution this week. We mustn’t let the questions of “why me” or “how could it have happened” begin to drag us toward the conclusion that we must take matters into our own hands. You are cautioned to be vigilant and you are cautioned have the strength to do what is right. You are not out of the woods yet! So, keep your hopes up and continue meeting your true and authentic needs, keep nourishing your soul and taking good care of your body.
December 10th: Mercury in Sagittarius trine Uranus in Aries, Venus quintile Uranus, Sun in Sagittarius quincunx Jupiter, Mercury in Sagittarius Sq. with Chiron in Pisces:
While perhaps a bit hurried, today will be a good day. All astrological motions are supporting each other, and we will have what we need. We will be able to creatively solve some issues and you should be feeling on top of things and ready to go!
December 11th: Moon in Aries squares Jupiter in Cancer, Moon will square Pluto:
We may still feel driven and the fact that things seem to be going our way may encourage us to try and do more, but we have a warning not to overdo things stand to respect boundaries. It is advised to work off your current to do list and respectfully ask if you can actually help others if you should finish your own work.
Dec 12th: Jupiter Trine Saturn:
This particular trine will seem to affect us until late May, and it may lend you a feeling of safety and security in the world around you that you haven’t felt in a long time. Just remember not to let the frantic Aries energy overrule your sense of common sense and politeness. Soak up a little bit that Christmas spirit.
December 15 – 21st
This week we seem to find ourselves in a much better position than we’ve been all month. It seems as if some things have fallen into place so that some of that feeling of needing to take control has been tempered a little bit. Hopefully from last week we’ve realized that in the strength to do with his right does not necessarily mean trying to take control the situation or contrive our influence over it. All judgments and decisions might generally turn into our favor, but we might not get everything immediately wanted or needed. Again with the contrast between the two decks, the tarot being more insightful and detailed does tend to have more of a negative spin. But the Oracle messenger deck once again tells us this week to have courage. And to temper that, it also tells us to seek the lesson and share your thoughts, as this seems to be a time when all points of view must be considered. However, this is not a time to become possessive or defensive about the things we thought were ours or a large part of our life. The wheel is turning once more in our lives and we must embrace new energy and use it to create the life that we truly need.
December 16 & 17th: Moon in Gemini in opposition to Mercury in Sagittarius, Full moon Gemini, Uranus direct, Jupiter Sesiquiquadrate Neptune:
We should all strive to tell the truth, but sometimes being blunt or frank will not actually help the situation. With Uranus beginning to go direct and the full moon in effect we will feel the impetus to express our authentic selves. Do embrace your authentic self, just do so with wisdom and compassion for others as well. Once we have expressed out loud the needs of our authentic self we will set new cycle in motion, which will continue for the rest of this month, that will bring what we truly need.
December 18: moon in cancer in a grand cardinal square with Uranus and Pluto:
While getting together and get-togethers might require a little bit of planning and strategy today it might be best to stick with what you know and focus on the act of coming together, rather than putting on the perfect party.
Dec. 20th & 21st: Sun enters Capricorn, Venus retrograde:
It is time for a shift once again as the solstice approaches. This is a time of gratitude for what we’ve learned and what we have. Our focus will shift toward lifestyle as we head toward Christmas and begin thinking about our New Year’s resolutions. We must be careful during this time, as today Venus goes retrograde until the end of January. You must resist shallow and superficial decisions, or decisions based on shallow or superficial wants. Make the solstice and your New Year’s resolution focused on attaining accord and peacefulness with your authentic self and life’s purpose.
The stars are with us to support a joyful and heartfelt holiday season. Do expect a surprise somewhere between Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. While everything seems set for a time of open hearts coming together all through this month and especially this week, do keep on eye on limits and those who might need a little break from the long festivities.
The cards send us a message that if we embrace the changes we need to make fully, that we can start getting back into the flow of life in the holidays around us, and we can start making practical plans for the future. While they cannot guarantee that we are completely out of the woods yet, it does seem that for the moment, most of the trial has passed. Watch for signs and spirits in the divine, take heart and courage, and love one another.
Have a Merry solstice, a joyful Christmas, Happy Kwanza, and a happy Hanukkah. Look for our new monthly mystical report over the holiday week to start planning your new here in your New Year’s resolutions with accuracy!
